The Haiti Lutheran Mission Society Celebrates Thirty Years!

HaitiThe Haiti Lutheran Mission Society is celebrating thirty years of service as the society was founded on Martin Luther’s 500th birthday, November 10, 1983.

The Haiti Lutheran Mission Society:

  • Partners with the Lutheran Church of Haiti (LCH) to spur growth of the Christian Church in Haiti.
  • Assists the LCH as requested to reduce the effects of poverty and natural disasters.
  • Works sending two large containers of goods yearly for distribution by LCH to improve the conditions of daily living.
  • Supports orphans and seniors and assists with salaries for pastors and teachers.
  • Outreach by the LCH includes TV and radio broadcasts of the Christian message over most of Haiti.
  • Purchased a building for pastoral training, working toward the goal of a future seminary.
