The “Declare and Defend” Tour with Pastor Mark Jasa – Coming in Sept 2012

Plans are being made to have Pastor Mark Jasa come to Canada in September 2012 to help equip Lutheran Church — Canada Christians to declare and defend their Christian faith.  Mark is an Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod pastor who serves at University Lutheran Chapel and ministers to the students of nearby UCLA in Los Angeles.  He was one of the presenters at the recent Regional Outreach Conference presented by Lutheran Hour Ministries in Vancouver.  What he is proposing to do is come to churches, present an evening lecture and then go onto a nearby campus with people from the congregation to have evangelistic and apologetic conversations with people.

We are asking that hosting churches promote the evening and campus events, provide some needed supplies (a card table, camping chairs, a dolly/car/wagon), a billet and meals for Pastor Jasa, provide local transportation and give people of their church an opportunity to donate towards the ministry of University Lutheran Chapel.   We are also asking hosting churches to inquire about the Free Speech Policy of the school where they will be sending people to find out what is allowed and where.

If you would like more information, or if you are interested in hosting Pastor Jasa at your church, please contact Pastor James Paulgaard at jamespaulgaard@wglc.org or 604-888-1004.

You are encouraged to watch the following two videos. They are  examples of what Pastor Jasa does on university campuses.
