Happy ReforMISSION!!!

Millions of Christians around the world are celebrating the Reformation that was ignited by Martin Luther when he nailed the 95 Theses on the All Saints church door in Wittenberg.  The Protestant Reformation is often described as a rediscovery of the purity of Christian doctrine, especially the doctrine of  God’s justification of sinful people as a result of His grace (i.e. undeserved favour) through faith in Jesus Christ.  What is often deemphasized is that at the heart of the Reformation was a ReforMISSION.

The Canadian Lutheran (September/October issue) features an article entitled, “The Missionary Luther” which focuses on Martin Luther’s mission theology and practice.   Happy ReforMISSION!
